Replacing The Belt On A 28 Snapper Serpentine Belt Snapped...?

Serpentine belt snapped...? - replacing the belt on a 28 snapper

What are the costs of my serpentine belt and water pump get replaced?

I drive a 1997 Ford Taurus, 160,000 miles.

I asked a question about my car and got a response from someone who worked in the automotive industry 28 years and said it's possible that my water pump.

My battery light comes and then could not the steering wheel and the display of coolant in C to F in seconds.

(this is your answer)

If no serpentine belt, you lose the alternator and power steering. Since then he has been losing coolant, I would bet that your pump is not complete, and left the band (which also powers the water pump for the launch!

Check under the hood, and you will see the band off! The vehicle will be towed and repaired. Most likely, you will need a water pump and a belt again! Revision of the belt tensioners also because they have to worry as false!

Please reply as soon as possible !!!!!

Normally, if the belt is a snake, a major task is to replace. The water pump, and several times the power steering pump are easily accessible when replacing the belt. The pieces are just a few hundred dollars more, but it is interesting to them later, if labor costs do not pay nearly the same as replacing the belt. We therefore expect to do as a rule three, if you want. Your engine should be as long as you have a timing chain or belt by independent dealers well. Some of Kia and others can all be on a belt, which cause damage if the coil is not. (such as time-controls)

Failure to lose the belt and serpentine coolant you that the water pump was finally in possession of the belt is stuck and BAM! Goodbye belt. Have you heard the cries of the engine compartment? Normally, when the pump reaches the end of his life, begins to lose water, screaming and then leaves.

I do not think that the motor is damaged, unless it has conducted in this way.

Replacing the tensioner is a good exercise, but some argue for its replacement every 2 tapes.

In thinking 300.00 Serpentine belts are expensive to replace the work in the water pump is expensive, too. and 300.00 would be a good price if you are a store to find it for you can not

From about $ 40.00 for the water pump and thirty dollars for the belt and, depending on where you live mechanics charge $ 150.00 per hour.

My friend has the questions that have responded. Failed water pump may have failed the tape, and the commentary on the belt tensioner is well advised, especially if you are not done in 97 Taurus. Good luck

that the serpentine belt is probably less than $ 20 per car and the water pump about $ 35 and the belt tensioner around $ 30 then add d'environ work for 2 hours.

Parts and Labor AUS $ 400.00 per pump with antifreeze and Motorcraft belt.

If you lose the address and the generator as a motor overheats.

If they must be well replace the belt tensioner together.

GOOD LUCK
